NYU-SCPS Center for Philanthropy Launches New Academy for Grantmaking and Funder Education


New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies inaugurates its new Academy for Grantmaking and Funder Education” on Monday October 6, 2008 at 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., NYU’s Kimmel Center, Room 905-907, 60 Washington Square South, NYC. Jack Rosenthal, president of The New York Times Company Foundation, and Ariel Zwang, CEO of Safe Horizon, will be speaking about philanthropy from the different perspectives of a funder (NY Times Foundation) and of a non-profit service provider (Safe Horizon). The new Academy—a program of the Heyman Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising at SCPS—provides a full-range of non-credit courses, seminars and intensive programs for grantmakers, foundation executives and philanthropists.
