Castañeda, Former Chilean President Lagos in Sept. 29 Discussion at NYU


Jorge Castañeda, a Distinguished Global Professor of Politics and Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University, and Ricardo Lagos, former president of Chile, will speak at New York University on Mon., Sept. 29, 5:30 p.m. at NYU’s Silver Center for Arts and Science (Hemmerdinger Hall, 100 Washington Square East). The event will be in English.

The event is part of NYU’s “Voices of Latin American Leaders,” a series of in-depth discussions with prominent Latin Americans on issues facing the Americas and the world that began in 2003. Moderated by Castañeda, the series probes economic, social, historical, and political dimensions of Latin America’s relations with the U.S. and the world community.
