Key players in Wall Street’s mergers and acquisitions industry will engage in a panel discussion on M&A at New York University School of Law on Thursday, October 23, 2008.

WHO: Stephen Friedman, retired chairman of Goldman, Sachs & Co., chairman of global private equity firm Stone Point Capital, and chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (credited with profoundly influencing M&A at Goldman Sachs)

Martin Lipton, founding partner of law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz (considered a godfather of M&A who educated bankers on takeover law and tactics)

Joseph Rice, III, founder and chairman of private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice (helped found one of the world’s oldest private equity investment firms)

Brett Cole, moderator; writer, The Economist (author of M&A Titans: The Pioneers Who Shaped Wall Street’s Mergers and Acquisitions Industry)
