“From Patronage to Social Policy” Focus of NYU Roundtable, Dec. 4

New York University’s College of Arts and Science will host “From Patronage to Social Policy,” the second in a series of conversations on American Culture, Arts, and Social Policy, on Thurs., Dec. 4, 7 p.m. at NYU’s Hemmerdinger Hall, Silver Center for Arts and Science, Room 102, 100 Washington Square East (at Washington Place). Subway Lines: 6 (Astor Place); A, B, C, D, E, F, V (West 4th Street); R, W (8th Street). The conversation series is held in conjunction with the Corporation of Yaddo.

Discussants for the event are: Elaina Richardson, president of Yaddo and former editor-in-chief at Elle magazine; NYU’s Harvey Dale, University Professor of Philanthropy and Law and director of the National Center on Philanthropy and the Law; Mary Schmidt Campbell, dean of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts; and Matthew S. Santirocco, dean of NYU’s College of Arts and Science and the Angelo J. Ranieri Director of Ancient Studies. Rick MacArthur, publisher of Harper’s magazine, will moderate the session.
