"The Cold War in the Middle East" Topic of Feb. 4 Gallatin Faculty Distinguished Lecture

Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies in the Department of History and director of the Middle East Institute at Columbia University, will deliver a public lecture, “The Cold War in the Middle East,” on Mon., Feb. 4, 5 p.m., at the Cantor Film Center (36 East 8th Street). The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is part of the Gallatin School of Individualized Study’s Faculty Distinguished Lecture Series. RSVP to rp29@nyu.edu.

Khalidi has taught at the Lebanese University, the American University of Beirut, Georgetown University, and the University of Chicago and is past president of the Middle East Studies Association.
