NEW YORK March 3, 2008The impact of publishing and new media on the 2008 election is the topic of the latest NYUs Media Talk event: Publishing and the Election: The Books, the Blogs and the Bold New Media Tactics at New York University on Tuesday, March 25th at 6:30 p.m.
Moderated by Jacob Weisberg, Editor-in-Chief of Slate Magazine, the discussion will include some of todays most successful media insiders: Jonathan Alter, senior editor and columnist at Newsweek; Ana Marie Cox, Washington editor at TIME.com; and David Rosenthal, executive vice president and publisher at Simon & Schuster.
NYUs Media Talk, an ongoing event series sponsored by the Center for Publishing at New York Universitys School of Continuing and Professional Studies, presents public conversations with media leaders about trends in the business, from an industry insiders viewpoint. Past Media Talk events have included: The Art of the Media Launch which explored the science and artistry of creating a successful media product; and David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, speaking with New York Times media columnist David Carr about the literary life and the print editors changing role in the world of Web 2.0.
The event will take place at: NYU School of Law, Greenberg Lounge, 40 Washington Square South (between MacDougall and Sullivan Streets).
