NEW YORK October 8, 2007-The science and artistry of creating a successful media product in todays fast-changing Web 2.0 world is the topic of the latest NYUs Media Talk event: The Art of the Media Launch, at New York University on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30 p.m. Moderated by New York Times media columnist David Carr, the discussion will include the innovators behind some of todays most successful media launches: Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post; Susan Lyne, president and CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc.; Craig Newmark, founder and customer service representative of craigslist.org; and Laurel Touby, founder and senior vice president of mediabistro.com.
NYUs Media Talk, an ongoing event series sponsored by the Center for Publishing at New York Universitys School of Continuing and Professional Studies, presents public conversations with media leaders about trends in the business, from an industry insiders viewpoint. Past events included David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, speaking last spring with Mr. Carr about the literary life and the print editors changing role in the world of Web 2.0.
