In a record year with more than 60,000 students applying to NYU, the University has offered admission to 31% of the applicants for the Class of 2019, down from 34% last year. Of the more than 18,500 admitted, just shy of 2,500 applied to NYU under its Early Decision program. It is believed that more students applied to NYU Early Decision – over 7,700 – than any other college or university in the U.S.

New York University is ranked No. 1 in both the number of international students studying at NYU and the number of NYU students studying abroad, according to the annual “Open Doors” study released today by the Institute of International Education (IIE). While NYU has long been a leader in both categories, it is the first time one university has ranked first in both areas since 1996 when Boston University had that honor.
