Sunday, August 29, 2010 is NYU’s annual “Move-In Day,” when freshman class students arrive at NYU residence halls for the start of the fall semester. Because of the volume of arriving students – many of whom are dropped off by car with their belongings – parking is prohibited in front of NYU dorms on that day. The University recognizes that this can be a significant inconvenience for its neighbors. So, NYU will reimburse the parking costs of local residents living between Houston St. and 14th St between, from 2nd Avenue to 6th Avenue who need to use a garage.
