New York University is ranked No. 1 in both the number of international students studying at NYU and the number of NYU students studying abroad, according to the annual “Open Doors” study released today by the Institute of International Education (IIE). While NYU has long been a leader in both categories, it is the first time one university has ranked first in both areas since 1996 when Boston University had that honor.

The NYU University Senate yesterday voted unanimously to endorse a garment industry agreement aimed at making Bangladesh factories safe workplaces. The Senate approved a resolution recommending that the University require its apparel licensees to sign the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh.
