Who said NYU doesn't have any school spirit? Violet 100 is NYU's official spirit week which runs from February 17, 2017 to February 26, 2017.  Every day features an event to bring the community together.  Check out our events below:


Presidents' Day Weekend: HackNYU

HackNYU

Where: 6 Metrotech Center, NYU Tandon; NYU Shanghai; and NYU Abu Dhabi

HackNYU is a hackathon competition for entrepreneurs, engineers, hackers and thinkers from around the globe to collaborate and build technological solutions addressing problems in education, accessibility, healthcare, sustainability, and social good. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate, form teams, build solutions, and compete against others by pitching and prototyping their ideas in 48 hours.

Tuesday: All-University Games

When: Tuesday, February 21 at 5:00PM (doors at 4:30pm)
Where: Chelsea Piers Sports Center, Pier 60 (60 Chelsea Piers, New York NY 10011). Enter through Barre Studio.

Enjoy an evening of good-hearted competition, spirit, and violet pride! The All-University Games is NYU's intramural athletic competition between schools, administration, and faculty teams. If you would like to participate in the games, please inquire to your school's student council. All are welcome to come watch and cheer on our teams!

This year, the NYU Student Government and NYU Program Board are collaborating to bring you 21 Savage and The Internet at Terminal 5! Concert opened by the NYU group the Highclass Hoodlums. Available exclusively to NYU students.

UltraViolet Live (UVL), a New York University tradition, showcases the best of NYU student talent. Preliminary rounds are hosted across campus and the top 15 acts compete live on the Skirball stage. UVL, sponsored by the Inter-Residence Hall Council (IRHC), is now in its fourteenth year. Talent ranges from singer/songwriters, dancers, magicians, bands, rappers, comics, speed painters, contortionists and more! NYU alumni and special guests serve as host and judges for the event.
