The Board of Trustees has appointed Andrew Hamilton the 16th President of NYU ! Professor Hamilton, who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, will begin in January 2016. We thank AMC Chair David Vintinner for his service on the Presidential Search Committee. Learn more about our incoming president on the President-Designate website

Congratulations to the new AMC Officers! At the April general meeting, a new slate of officers was elected for the 2015-16 academic year: David Vintinner as Chair for a second term, Kristi Schwindt Ramos as Vice Chair, Shakera Jones as Treasurer, and Andrea Fannelli as Secretary. Results of the Representative elections for the 2015-17 term are available here.

  • The Superblock Stewardship Advisory Committee has been established to provide advice to the University and a forum for consultation on quality-of-life issues on both blocks before, during, and after construction on the superblocks. The AMC is represented on the committee by Barbara Albrecht; please contact Barbara if you have any questions or feedback.
  • A Protection of Minors Steering Committee has been established by the Provost and the Executive Vice President for Operations to advise about the safety, welfare, and protection of minors involved in events and programs at NYU. Justine Kelly-Fierro represents the AMC on the steering committee.

nyu goes pink group shot

NYU goes pink! The AMC and the NYU community participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. On Sunday, September 13, 2015, several members of the NYU community and their families attended the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Central Park. The team raised up to 65% of its goal and had tons of fun while raising awareness towards breast cancer. You can still make a donation to support the team so click here for more details.   

Holiday Toy Drive

The AMC - Making Spirits Bright!

The AMC joined Government & Community Affairs in sponsoring the annual Holiday Toy Drive. The NYU community collected over 700 new toys and books in the 2014 drive. Items were distributed to the children of the 9th Police Precinct at a holiday party. Toys were also distributed to the children of the Birch Family Services. Thank you to the NYU community for its generosity!
