Join us to celebrate the end of the semester! The AMC's annual Year-End Meeting and Luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 9 from 12-2:00 PM in Rosenthal Pavilion, Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South, 10th Fl. Hear updates about the AMC's activities this year, meet the AMC senator candidates, and get a chance to win one of our raffle prizes! Please bring a book or a dollar to donate for our annual Book and a Buck Campaign. Those who donate a book will be entered into a special raffle in appreciation of their support. RSVP here.

Congratulations to next year's AMC Officers! Officer elections were held at the April 2nd General Meeting. David Vogelsang was re-elected as Chair, David Vintinner was re-elected as Vice Chair, and Liam Fry was re-elected as Secretary. Andrea Fannelli has been newly elected as Treasurer, to succeed Anne Stubing. The new officer terms will run from July 1, 2013-June 30, 2014.

Martin Dorph, Executive Vice President for Finance and IT, and Tony Jiga, Vice President for Budgeting and Planning, gave an update about the university budget at the AMC's April 2nd general meeting. Click here to view the presentation.

16th Annual AMC Art Show

The AMC is proud to present its 16th annual exhibition of original artwork by NYU administrators.  Painting, photography, drawings, sculpture, and other creative work will be on display beginning Saturday, May 11 through Thursday, June 13.

AMC Book Club (June)

Recent Events

25th Annual Retirees Luncheon

The AMC Annual Retirees' Luncheon was held on Wednesday, April 24 at the NYU Torch Club. The gathering was warm and festive, as usual. It was great to see familiar faces -- those who make the pilgrimage each year, and some making their debut as retirees. Regrets were heartfelt, as always, and many good wishes sent from afar by those who could not make it. Despite a postal fiasco, which resulted in a very late delivery of the invitations (after the date of the event!), we filled the Tap Room, with approximately 70 in attendance.

AMC Chair David Vogelsang presided over the event. Guests were greeted and gifted (a snazzy summer cooler was the take-away this year), and after schmoozing a little, sat down to a delicious buffet lunch. During his words of welcome and cheer, David took a moment to toast the 40th anniversary of the AMC and the 25th year of these luncheons. We were fortunate to have George Pozderec, who was AMC President when the very first Retirees Luncheon was held, present to say a few words as well.

Throughout the luncheon, guests were treated to classics from The American Songbook, performed by the Daan Kleijn Trio. Dan Kleijn (guitar), Jeff Dingler (double bass) and Ricky Alexander (tenor saxophone) are all NYU graduate students in jazz performance, and they did a lovely job of entertaining the group. The formalities ended with the annual raffle drawing. The lucky winners this year were Joe Diaz, who received a gift certificate for lunch at the Torch Club, and Mary Wade, who received a lunch cruise with World Yacht!

Thanks to everyone who attended, and best wishes to those who could not make it. We hope that the mailing disaster is something that will never happen again, and we look forward to seeing everyone next year!
