About the Program

With over 300 graduates, the AMC Mentoring Program enters its sixth year and seeks continued engagement and participation. This year, the program will be held virtually to support participants with pursuing professional development goals and fostering a sense of community. Full-time administrators, clerical staff, and administrative deans are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Accepted applicants are formally paired for the academic year based on responses to the application. Pairs are determined by stated needs (and not by title or rank). Each pair determines the cadence and structure of their meetings, but the mentee is positioned as the active driver with communication and follow up items. Additional programming is offered to participants during the academic year.

If you have questions about what it takes to be a mentor, check out mentoring guide (Google Doc).

Be a Mentor

The AMC Mentoring Program is open to all NYU employees. We have received numerous applications and are looking for ways to continue the growth and expansion of this well-received program. One limitation is the number of people who apply to be mentors. As there are not many mentor applications, we end up with a lot of mentees on our wait-list.

We are looking for administrators at all levels who are interested in giving back to the NYU community by applying as a mentor for our next cohort, which starts in September 2020.
