The Administrative Management Council (AMC) is the organization through which the administrators - management and professional personnel - of NYU participate in University governance. Representatives to the AMC are elected from within each school or division.
The AMC initiates, deliberates, and responds to the issues and concerns of its administrative constituents and the University community. Additionally, the AMC is committed to promoting the professional growth and development of NYU administrators, and it is deeply committed to community service.
Most of the work of the AMC is accomplished in its standing and ad hoc committees. Committee membership, which is open to all NYU administrators, offers a wonderful way to become involved in the NYU community.
NYU Administrators have a rich history of service to the University and our community, and we hope you will join us as we participate in the University governance process, study and respond to concerns and issues, promote professional growth and development initiatives, and engage in community service and exciting events. Every administrator is invited and encouraged to participate -- whether you are an elected representative or not, whether you are returning or new -- join a committee, attend a monthly meeting, and join us for events throughout the year.
