Rachel DuBois is the Jumpstart Co-Site Manager within the Office of Civic Engagement. In her role, she oversees the Jumpstart NYU corps, a select group of NYU students providing a full-year of mentoring and school-readiness instruction to young children on the Lower East Side. She came to NYU in 2010 after teaching at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to that she served two terms of service with AmeriCorps VISTA and NCCC. She is a member of the Children's Literature Association and the National Council of Teachers of English. She received her B.A. in English and Film Studies from the University of Georgia and an M.A. in Children's Literature from Eastern Michigan University.
