Bill Pfeiffer is the Director of the Office of Civic Engagement. In his role, Bill oversees the America Reads, Jumpstart and Public Service Corps programs as well as the NYU Combined Campaign. Bill came to the university in 1995, and has been involved in the community service and civic engagement efforts of the university since that time.
Prior to joining NYU, Bill served as the Director of Institutional Giving at the America Red Cross in greater New York and as Development Director for Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago. Bill received a B.S. in Economics and a B.S. in Urban Studies from Northwestern University and his M.S. in Urban Policy and Management from the Milano Graduate School of the New School for Social Research.
