The Office of Government Affairs and Civic Engagement is responsible for maintaining and consistently strengthening the University’s relationship with outside communities, including elected officials, government agencies and civic and community groups in neighborhoods in which NYU is a major presence. The office develops a university-wide government agenda and strategies for gaining financial support from the state and city to utilize research and programmatic priorities for NYU. The office is also responsible for ensuring that NYU’s needs are met while ensuring that the outside community’s voices are heard within the NYU administration.
