Senior Presidential Fellow

Ellen Schall

The Senior Presidential Fellow reports directly to the President of NYU.

Since 2013, Ellen Schall has been the Senior Presidential Fellow. In that role, working closely with the Board of Trustees, Ms. Schall has a foremost role in the recruitment of NYU's top officials (including the search for the 16th president and the provost search), provides strategic counsel to the President and other members of the senior administration, is responsible for special assignments and projects, and is involved in the review of University policies and practices.

She received her B.A. from Swarthmore College and her J.D. (cum laude) from NYU School of Law.

In Spring 2016, she was appointed by President Hamilton to lead the Affordability Steering Committee.
