Tara is a senior assistant director and career development coach at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She manages employer relations, leads a communications and marketing strategy, and oversees an operational strategy in collaboration with the Wasserman Center’s associate directors and assistant dean. Her passion is supporting students and professionals to achieve their visions for academic and professional success. Tara earned a master of arts in counseling psychology and counselor education from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies with a focus of psychology from Hofstra University. Prior to joining NYU, she worked for public and private higher education institutions where she specialized in the areas of clinical counseling, career counseling, title IX programming, supervision of experiential education programs, and the creation and execution of a strategies for professional development workshops and networking and recruitment events. In her spare time, Tara enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, hiking, and running half-marathons.

Nicole joined the Wasserman Center, Brooklyn Office staff in July 2013 as an Assistant Director of Career Development and now serves as the Senior Assistant Director of Employer Relations. Prior to working at NYU Nicole worked in Media Advertising and Digital Marketing in both New York and Boston. Her bachelor's degree is from Syracuse University, where she studied Communications.
In May 2013 she completed her master's in College Student Development & Counseling at Northeastern University. Nicole has worked in Career Services at both Emerson College and Brandeis University and in Advising for the College of Science at Northeastern University. During her tenure at Northeastern, she developed the curriculum/facilitated a semester-long Intro to College course for freshman STEM students. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, going on adventures in the city, being active, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Cheryl Mazlen is a Senior Assistant Director and has worked for the Wasserman Center since 2001, and has 15 years experience in the field of Career Counseling. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from SUNY Albany and an M.S.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from Hunter College. Cheryl has past experience in both the legal and fashion industries. Cheryl enjoys yoga and all things holistic.

Miriam joined the Wasserman Center as the Assistant Director of Graduate Student Career Development in August of 2015 and now serves as a Senior Assistant Director. She completed her B.A. in American Studies from Barnard College and her Ed.M. in Higher Education from Harvard University. Prior to NYU, Miriam spent her career in independent school, undergraduate, and graduate school admissions. When she's not at work, Miriam can usually be found watching Netflix, cooking up comfort food, and spending time with her husband and their two cats.

Carrie is the Manager of Alumni Career Programs at the Wasserman Center for Career Development. She holds an M.A. in higher education and student affairs from New York University and a B.A. in sociology from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining NYU, she worked in career services at Columbia University and John Jay College. Carrie also spent ten years working in public relations and marketing, including time as a freelance business and communications consultant. When she’s not at work, she can usually be found catching a movie or Broadway show in the city, spending time with friends and family, or cheering on her favorite sports teams.

Allison joined the Wasserman Center in September 2014 as an Assistant Director and Career Development Coach, and now serves as the Manager of Global Career Development. Prior to NYU, Allison was a career coach for The New School and event coordinator for National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. In her spare time she enjoys seeing musical theater, traveling abroad, baking cheesecake, and exploring New York City.

Keisha joined the Wasserman Center as the Senior Assistant Director of Graduate Student Career Development in September 2014. Prior to joining the Wasserman team, Keisha served as the Program Manager of Global Academic Planning at NYU's Office of Global Programs. Keisha earned a B.A. in Journalism/English Writing Arts from SUNY Oswego and a Master's degree from the College of Communication at Boston University. Keisha is full of pop culture references and is a self-proclaimed design enthusiast.

Long is a Senior Assistant Director and Career Development Counselor at the Wasserman Center's Brooklyn Office. Prior to joining Wasserman in January 2016, he served as a Program Administrator at the NYU Student Resource Center where he oversaw programming for commuter students. Long earned a MS in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Colorado State University and a BA in Communication Studies from Northeastern University. Originally from Brooklyn, he is happy to be back in his home borough where he has the opportunity to continue to live out his passion in helping students. Long is an avid NY sports fan and he has developed thick skin due to years of unsolicited heartbreaks. On weekends, you can find him strolling the streets of New York with his partner and their dogs, Cornbread & Paige.
