Faculty and graduate students interested in conducting research abroad are encouraged to view opportunities available through the Provost’s Global Research Initiatives.
The program includes research centers (in Berlin, Florence, London, Prague, Shanghai, Syndey, and Washington D.C.), where faculty and graduate students may request time in residence; a housing program in New York to help New York-based faculty host international visitors; funds to support colloquia, conferences, and other initiatives that bring New York faculty into contact with faculty at NYU's global study sites; and a series of summer intensive dissertation-writing workshops.
Additionally, the Global Institute for Advanced Study (GIAS) is designed to facilitate collaborative research on an international scale and to enable sustained attention to significant research programs that require work over several years.
