The IT at NYU-NY function comprises the delivery and evolution of University-wide services, infrastructure, policies, and plans for information technology and related activities, including those of the central IT organization (Information Technology Services, or ITS) and the School and departmental IT organizations.
CITO & IT Governance
The Office of the Vice President for Information Technology & Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) for NYU-NY provides leadership and coordination of University IT strategy, policies, and services, as well as IT-related planning, compliance, and continuity services.
IT governance at NYU-NY is accomplished by NYU leadership’s formal engagement in setting IT strategy and priorities for NYU-NY, and processes through which the CITO and the central IT organization, ITS, get advice and feedback from the NYU-NY community.
Information Technology Services (ITS)
Information Technology Services (ITS) is NYU’s central organization for technology-based services for University students, faculty, administrators, and staff. ITS staff and resources support the broad spectrum of University activities. Service is ITS’ focus and concern.
