Carlos García serves as Director of the Global Program Management Office, a department focused on project portfolio management and coordination across workstreams in IT organizations at NYU. In this role, Carlos leads diverse teams in the deployment of large-scale programs. These programs bring value to New York University by delivering new and expanding services to our community.
Carlos takes an enterprising approach to project management, where exploration and dialogue are essential. He enjoys the nature of his role, which allows him to work with an inspiring collage of technical, academic and business leaders throughout the world.
García graduated from NYU with a dual major in Film & Television and Computer Science, and a Master of Business Administration from Stern concentrating on Finance and Economics. Carlos approaches his work by combining a strong interest in technology with a business vision and a little artistry.
García has a long history with New York University and has contributed to the launch of many programs in the Global Network University, including NYU Shanghai Study Abroad, NYU Buenos Aires, NYU Berlin, NYU Washington, DC, and others. In previous roles at NYU, Carlos has worked in Student Technology Services and as Manager, Global IT Services, always with the goal of enabling meaningful and lasting modes of connection.
