Amy received her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law with honors, where she was Executive Editor of the International Law Review, a Paul J. Liaco Scholar and a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar, and she received her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University, in Philosophy and Italian Literature with honors. Immediately prior to joining NYU in 2011, Amy was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of AEA Investors LP for nine years. Previously, she was an associate with Shearman & Sterling LLP serving in its New York, London and Paris offices.
Amy is a member of the New York Bar Association. She has specialized in the practice areas of general corporate law, private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities law. She has served as corporate secretary to a number of U.S. and international companies. She was awarded the honor of Corporate Mentor of the Year in 2004 for her volunteer work with The Mentoring Partnership of New York and supports other early education organizations, such as Everybody Wins!, through volunteer work.
